The Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) on Tuesday conducted a vote of confidence on members of the committee's Political Bureau and Secretariat for the first time.

On Tuesday, the first day of the committee's 9th session, the CPVCC also discussed reports on the leadership and instruction work of the Political Bureau and the Secretariat in 2018, Vietnam News Agency reported.

During the three-day session, CPVCC members are expected to discuss the personnel planning of the CPVCC for the 2021-2026 tenure, and consider and take disciplinary measures against some officials.
