Saudi Arabia welcomes UK's decision to blacklist Lebanon's Hezbollah
Saudi Arabia welcomed on Tuesday the British decision to designate Lebanon's Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
SPA quoted an official from the foreign ministry as describing the decision as an essential step for anti-terrorism in the world.
The official, who did not reveal his name, urged the international community to take similar steps against Hezbollah's attempts to destabilize regional security and stability.
The British government accuses Hezbollah of continuing to amass weapons against UN security council resolutions, while saying its support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has prolonged "the conflict and the regime's brutal and violent repression of the Syrian people."
