The Saudi-led coalition said on Saturday that it had targeted two caves in the Yemeni capital Sanaa that the Houthi rebels used to store drone aircraft, Saudi-owned Al Arabiya television reported.

The air attack was in accordance with the international law, the television said, citing a statement by the coalition.

The coalition urged civilians to stay away from the rebels' locations.

On Friday night, the coalition warplanes launched airstrikes on al-Daylami air base north of the rebel-held capital Sanaa and Estikbal military camp on the western outskirts of Hamdan, around 20 km west of Sanaa, according to the residents.

No civilian casualties were reported.

The air attacks came hours after the rebels claimed that they had shot down a U.S.-made MQ-1 drone over Hamdan.

Saudi Arabia is leading the military coalition that intervened in Yemen in March 2015 to restore Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi back to power after Houthi rebels forced him into exile and seized much of the country's north.

The rebels have threatened to strike Riyadh and Abu Dhabi if the coalition forces pushed into Hodeidah, a key sea port for the entry of most food imports and humanitarian aid.
