Fans of True Blood will be disappointed to know that the beloved series is coming to an end and its seventh season will be announced.

HBO announced Tuesday that the hit show will air its final ten episodes in the summer of 2014.

According to HBO president Michael Lombardo, the supernatural mystery drama will have a satisfying finale after a highly popular six years on the network.

True Blood has had an incredibly successful run garnering an Emmy nomination in 2010 for best dramatic series and a Golden Globe award to Anna Paquin for best leading actress in 2009.

According to Dailymail.co.uk, the sixth season, which wrapped last month, was one of its most critically well-received installment and garnered an impressive 10.6 million viewers for every episode of the thrilling show.
