The Pakistani terrorist organization Balochistan Liberation Army launched a terrorist attack on the Chinese Consulate in Karachi on the morning of November 23. According to reports, on November 23, there were two terrorist attacks in Pakistan – one explosion has ripped through a busy marketplace near Peshawar, northwestern Pakistan, killing at least eight people; the other explosion occurred near the gate of a religious school in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in the morning, killing at least 25 people and injuring 35 others.

In this regard, Cheng Xizhong, former military attaché at the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, believed that the United States’ recent announcement that it would stop military aid to Pakistan and accusation that Pakistani government failed to fight terrorism lead to the actual suspension of US anti-terror cooperation with Pakistan and to a certain degree objectively encourage frequent terrorist activities in Pakistan.
