ISLAMABAD, Nov. 17 (Gwadar Pro) - Pakistan Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani said that Pakistan and China partnership is making tremendous progress in promoting peace, stability and development in the region.

He termed Pakistan city Gwadar as gateway to progress not only for Pakistan but for the whole region. “Gwadar Port Authority Commercial Complex would play key role and would become hub of all commercial activities in region,” he added.

He said being native of Balochistan province I can understand the importance of Gwadar. He said in future Gwadar would become major port city, as China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would attract more investment and development projects for Gwadar.

He said expansion of Government Faqeer Colony Middle School Project shows that China not only want development in Gwadar but also wants the children of this area should also get quality education, which would help them to make their own future.

Talking about 300 MW coal power plant in Gwadar Chairman Senate said that this plan would overcome energy crisis in Gwadar and would provide much needed energy resources for development of this area.

He said China has also donated 4000 solar energy facilities, which would also be very beneficial for Gwadar district to meet its energy needs.

Talking about other investment opportunities in Pakistan Chairman Senate said that Pakistan has huge potential of foreign investment in Health sector.

“Pakistan would encourage the Chinese investors to come forward, invest in health sector and provide best health facilities to improve the quality of life in the country,” he added.

Chairman Senate told that earlier he had met a consortium from China who was here to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan.

He said Chinese investment in health sector in Pakistan would not only provide quality health services but also generate jobs.

“Pakistan is committed to complete the CPEC projects on time and Special Economic Zones would welcome the investors,” he added.

Pakistan-China has people to people contact, and they trust each other’s, Pakistani businessmen on large and small scale are doing business in china, large number of Pakistani students are getting best education in China, most of them are on scholarships. Same like Chinese students are studying in Pakistan and Chinese businessmen are doing business here, which shows level of trust between the two nations he said.

He said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has opened new doors of cooperation, which would be more strong and long way. This would strengthen the historical time tested and all weather friendship between China and Pakistan.
