Judicial organs ensure private sector rights
China's judicial organs have taken measures to ensure impartiality and protect the healthy development of the private sector, improving the business environment under the rule of law.
Gao Yunlong, chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, said at a summit held on Friday on the rule of law in the private economy that the business environment has been continuously optimized in recent years, and the sense of gain of businessmen has improved.
The legal environment for the private sector has improved at the fastest pace, Gao said, adding that judicial organs have strengthened the protection of property rights for companies and issued a series of policies and measures to support the healthy development of the private economy.
Zhou Qiang, president of the Supreme People's Court, said that the court has strengthened judicial protection of property rights and safeguarded the personal and property safety of entrepreneurs.
Cases involving properties would be properly handled to create a sound legal environment for entrepreneurs to make innovations and start their own businesses. Besides, the court would work with the ACFTU and improve the dispute resolution mechanism, creating channels for private enterprises and entrepreneurs to safeguard their rights, he said.
Zhang Jun, procurator-general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, said that procuratorial organs shoulder the important responsibility of safeguarding law enforcement and judicial justice, and it is their duty to create a better law-based business environment.
In June 2019, procurators suggested 1,971 private businessmen be exempted from detention after the supervision of cases involving private enterprises.
The public security organs have also introduced a series of reform and innovation measures for the convenience of private companies, improving the satisfaction of enterprises and stimulating their business vitality and development momentum, said Chen Siyuan, assistant to the minister of public security.
In addition, multiple campaigns have been launched to crack down on prominent illegal and criminal activities that undermine the business environment and infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises to create a sound legal environment and stable public order for the healthy development of the private economy, he said.
