Abstract: The Webinar on China-Pakistan Agricultural Cooperation and Prospects will be held on November 19 by China Economic Net, Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies and The Express Tribune. All are welcome to sign up for this event.

I.Introduction

As China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) moving toward a more substantial period, agricultural cooperation is emerging as a priority. Underpinned by rich resources in finance, technology, and talent, China boasts a strong competitive advantage in agricultural research and development. Pakistan is endowed with favorable geographical locations and thereby great development potential, which make agriculture its pillar industry. The agricultural cooperation between Pakistan and China will enable both countries to leverage their comparative strengths and tap into huge potential.

Against this backdrop, the Webinar on China-Pakistan Agricultural Cooperation and Prospects is going to review and promote the typical cases of China-Pakistan agricultural cooperation. In collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Ministry of National Food Security and Research of Pakistan, the webinar will also expound on the investment environment and policies of Pakistan’s agriculture, and provide information on potential investments and cooperation to participants.

Syed Fakhar Imam, Federal Minister of National Food Security and Research of Pakistan; Nong Rong, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan; Moin ul Haque, Pakistani Ambassador to China; as well as officials and experts from Chinese and Pakistani agricultural industries will attend the webinar and deliver speeches.
