Around 1.53 million investors in China opened accounts to trade in stocks on the Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses in November, industry data showed.

The figure is an increase of 84.77 percent from the same period last year, according to the China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited.

Individuals accounted for the majority of new investors, reaching over 1.52 million, while new institutional investors stood at 3,500.

By the end of November, the number of investors with A-share accounts was over 176.15 million, data showed. Enditem
