FAISALABAD, Jan. 13 (Gwadar Pro) – To meet the surging need for welding technicians with the development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the Confucius Institute of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) offers the “Chinese + welding technique” training course for young Pakistanis.

UAF’s training course enrolled 21 Pakistanis as the first batch of trainees. After training, these trainees will either apply for scholarship to continue their study in China or find relevant jobs to make contributions to the construction of CPEC.

The training course has two phases, namely, Chinese course and practical training of welding technique.

In the first phase, the Chinese course lasts three months, which will enable the trainees to reach the level III of HSK in a short time. Later, the teaching content of Chinese will add the knowledge related to welding techniques.

In the second phase, trainees will spend six months on the “theory + hands-on training” to master the welding technique.

It is worth to mention that teachers of UAF’s Confucius Institute gave many lectures on China’s national conditions and Chinese culture.

They also guided trainees to experience the traditional Chinese methods to preserve health, like Baduanjin and Wuqinxi, which were very popular with the young Pakistanis.
