Information platform to enhance China-Pakistan agricultural, industrial cooperation

BEIJING, Jan. 27 (China Economic Net)– The China-Pakistan agricultural and industrial cooperation information platform will enhance the two iron friends’ cooperation in the two fields, said Muhammad Mudassir Tipu Director-General (China) of MoFA.
“I believe it is going to be a win-win situation for both Pakistan and China. Recently China has made advancement in Agriculture technology including agriculture drones and modern machinery. I’m sure this cooperation is going to bring a revolution,” Tipu said.
Tipu further said Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs will build a bridge between all the Ministries, departments and private sector and make sure cooperation in this regards.
“We will ensure cooperation to make this platform successful like CPEC. Together with Foreign Ministry of China, we will do the needful,” Tipu added.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistani Ambassador Moin-ul Haque sought support of the Chinese government and enterprises to improve agriculture sector in Pakistan and expressed the confidence that both countries could turn a new page in agriculture and industrial modernization for shared benefits.
“Pakistani government had made agriculture and industrial revitalization a linchpin for its broad-based efforts for the socio-economic development. We need support from China to achieve goals. We look forward to the win-win cooperation with China,” Moin-ul-Haq added.
Mr. Haq especially mentioned that during the visit of President Dr. Arif Aliv to Beijing in March last year, the two countries agreed that agricultural cooperation would be included in the framework of CPEC.
"Pakistan and China, during the Second Foreign Ministers Strategic Dialogue held in Hainan in August last year, had decided to pay a special attention to production of high yield seed varieties, increase using crops productivity besides addition of agro-based industry, agricultural technology, fast pest control and setting up of cold chain network. I believe, this forum is going to benefit both China and Pakistan,” he said.
Ambassador Haq said, launching of this platform coincided with the 70th anniversary of establishment of the China-Pakistan diplomatic relations.
Analysts, entrepreneurs and experts in relevant field appreciated the launching of this platform and said it is going to bring revolution in Pakistan.
"It is indeed a great step. It is going to bring revolution in Pakistan's Agriculture. It will also provide a window for Pakistan to bring reforms in its Industry," Mehr Bagh Ali Klasra, former Assistant Agriculture Engineer said.
