China collects six original manuscripts of Karl Marx
The original manuscripts of six letters written by Karl Marx were collected by the Institute of Party History and Literature of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee on Friday.
As the latest achievement of the institute's collection project targeting Marxist documents, the addition of six letters has made it the largest collection of manuscripts of classic Marxist writers in China.
The newly added collection captures the historical background and process of Marx's work as he devoted himself to the translation and publishing of his work "Das Kapital" in French.
The manuscripts of classic Marxist writers are an important embodiment of Marxist theory, said Qu Qingshan, head of the CPC Central Committee's institute.
