Pakistan & China are Iron-Brothers and Staunchest Partners: DG (China)

“Pakistan and China are iron-brothers and staunchest partners. Their relationship is an anchor for peace and stability in the region. There is a greater need for for the students to understand and learn China’s culture, history and its place and role in shaping the 21st century”, underlined by Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, Director General (China), Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The DG delivered these remarks while speaking as CHief Guest, at the opening ceremony of the Aitchison College’s Model United Nations (ACMUN) Debate today. He highlighted that the successive leadership of both Pakistan and China maintained their consistent focus on deepening, broadening and solidifying this relationship. “Owing to such unwavering commitment and resolute attention, Pak-China relationship has matured into an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.”
Recounting his personal experiences of serving in China and interacting with the Chinese leadership at the highest level, Mudassir Tipu emphasized the need to fortify people-to-people, social and cultural cooperation between both countries. “The students and people needed to deepen their understanding of Pak-China relationship to make their contribution in further reinforcing this relationship and helping build a peaceful, prosperous and enlightened society.” he emphasized.
The Director General stressed that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was a transformational project which rejuvenate the economy of Pakistan. He underscored that both Pakistan and China were committed to making CPEC a high-quality demonstration of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). He particularly stressed the audience to academically examine CPEC and its positive impact on the regional economy.
He also touched upon the growing cooperation between the two countries in controlling infectious diseases, particularly Covid-19 and added that Pakistan firmly supported China’s regional and global initiatives in this regard.
DG’s speech, otherwise covering a wide-range of issues, coincided with the Chinese Spring Festival and New Year and was a demonstration of Pakistan-China friendship.
