Special Event for the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of China-Pakistan Diplomatic Relations: Call for Historical Photographs and Stories
This year marks the 70th anniversary of China-Pakistan diplomatic ties which started on May 21, 1951. Over the past seven decades, the two countries have established brotherly friendship that has been tested by times of difficulty and forged by mutual trust, setting an exemplary model for state-to-state relations.
The China-Pakistan friendship has grown ever stronger over time. Pakistan was not only one of the first countries to recognize the People’s Republic of China, but also the first Islamic country to establish diplomatic ties with China. The Chinese and Pakistani people have always been ready to offer help and support for each other, from the construction of the Karakoram Highway by 15,000 Chinese and Pakistani people in the 1960s, to the two-generation Pakistani nationals volunteering as cemetery keepers for the Chinese constructors who lost their lives in the construction; from the visit of the Pakistani President Alvi to the delivery of all masks in Pakistan’s hospitals amid COVID-19 epidemic, to the arrival of the first Chinese vaccines in Pakistan …
The China-Pakistan friendship keeps growing with more opportunities. Thanks to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor initiative, countless staff from China and Pakistan have been working day and night to develop Gwadar Port, which helps connect Pakistan with the Middle East, and the Orange Line, which has ushered Pakistan into an era of subway. Chinese-made home appliances, mobile phones and cars have penetrated into ever more Pakistani households. Meanwhile, a growing number of Pakistani agricultural products, such as mangoes, blue crabs, basmati rice, and Himalayan powder salt, also find their way onto the Chinese tables.
On the 70th anniversary, China Economic Net would take this opportunity to pay tribute to the obscure witnesses of the growth of China-Pakistan friendship. We are now inviting you to participate in the Special Event for the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of China-Pakistan Diplomatic Relations –Call for Historical Photographs Stories. Whether you are old or young, you are more than welcome to share your own stories of the development of China-Pakistan friendship at the moment or in the past.

We invite contributions of historical photos and stories about the China-Pakistan friendship. It is highly recommended to attach a detailed description to the photo, specifying the time and location of the photo and the story behind it. Texts are also welcome if you hope to express your understanding, expectations and prospects for our bilateral friendship.

Excellent photos and stories will be selected from this event, and made into souvenirs in memory of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of China-Pakistan diplomatic relations.

Contribution Requirements:
The submitted photo must be in jpg format, with the long side greater than 2000px, and the size no less than 2Mb (megabyte) but no more than 5Mb (megabyte). The effective contact information (telephone number and postal address) should be included in the mail.
Photo Copyright Statement:
The contributor must be the copyright holder of the photo, and sign the "Work Authorization Letter" to grant China Economic Net the right to use the photo. The authorization letter can be photographed or scanned, but the handwriting must be clear.
