Citizens are expressing satisfaction on social media, leaving positive reviews about the successful administration of China-made Sinopharm vaccine across Pakistan.

 

Following earlier reports of vaccination among the public and the healthcare workers, there has been recent increase in positive responses with more citizens queuing up outside the vaccination centers to get the jab.

 

 

Zoraiz Riaz, founder of “Corona recovered warriors”, the largest online social media group on Covid-19 in Pakistan expressed great pleasure on the well- managed Covid-19 vaccination drive. He says people are praising the management of expo center and how brilliant the overall system has been over there.

 

In his recent message he mentioned the key highlights which includes availability of wheelchairs, electric Cabs, smooth registration, easy cue system, vitals on the next step and rest area. “It is very well equipped and has doctors to manage any adverse reaction. This will be the beautiful end of the horrible era” he added.

 

Umar saif ceo survey auto.com says, “Got my parents vaccinated. It was a great experience. My old friend Secretary Health Muhammad Usman Younis was personally supervising all the arrangements at the Expo Center. Great management. Well done!”.

 

Bilal hassan a citizen from Karachi updated about the vaccination saying, “The entire setup was very well organized and efficient. They had wheelchairs and porters available to help transfer the elderly up the flight of stairs at the entrance, this was a huge plus since my grandmother is 87 years old and with time her knees have gotten weak.”

 

“All the doctors and staff inside were very friendly, we arrived at the center at around 11:30 am and we were done by 12:00 pm, we just had to wait an additional 20-30 mins on the side just in case there were any side effects but there were none. Now we’re almost five days in since my grandmother got her jab and thankfully, she’s doing well.”

 

“I’d highly encourage everyone to please take their respective elderly household members to get vaccinated.” Hassan added.

Pakistan is currently administering the Chinese vaccine Sinopharm as the first one to be approved for emergency use. Pakistan launched its COVID-19 vaccine drive in early February beginning with the healthcare workers in the first phase after receiving doses from China.

 

Currently, Pakistan is vaccinating the country's healthcare workers and people over the age of 60. The vaccine has been granted authorization in China, and several other countries, including the UAE.

 

Several parts of Pakistan are currently under smart lockdown and maximum restrictions have been put in place to prevent the spread of the virus. After the recent spike, NCOC re-introduced curbs including mandatory mask wearing, restrictions on public activities, 50 percent work-from-home policy and 10pm time limit for commercial activities.

 

Pakistan recorded 2,511 cases and 58 deaths in the last 24 hours. Currently, there are 23,355 active coronavirus cases in the country. The country has reported a total of 609,964 COVID-19 cases and 13,595 coronavirus-related deaths since February 2020.
