As of April 15, a total of 207 millennia-old contiguous tombs have been found at the 1.3-hectare Sundayuan Site in Heze, East China's Shandong province.

The tombs include 187 that date back to the Han Dynasty (202 BC-220 AD), 11 that date back to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770-221 BC), and nine that date back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

The recent excavation also revealed earth-made pit tombs and brick-made chamber tombs from the Neolithic Longshan Culture. Two animal-shaped clay figurines were found among the tombs from the Eastern Zhou Dynasty.
