Pak-China Iron Brotherhood Becoming Multifaceted and Wide-Ranging

BEIJING, May 28 (China Economic Net) - An online international conference titled “Pakistan and China - Iron Brothers: 70 years of Exceptional Partnership” was organized by Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future, Communication University of China, Beijing, China on Thursday. Speakers on the occasion highlighted the significant contours of exceptional partnership with Pakistan and China, discussed the dynamic of this relationship and analyzed the existing potential with an integrative, holistic approach by both countries.
Regarding academic collaboration between both countries, Saleem Mazhar, Pro-VC, University of Punjab mentioned that, “universities are the driving force, both sides should work on this avenue of exchange of students.” Zahid Anwar, Director of China Study center, University of Peshawar highlighted that collaboration between China and Pakistan in higher education is increasing after the commencement of CPEC. Zhang Xiaoyu, expert from Pakistan Research Center, Communication University of China shared her views on progressive grounds for enhanced academic networks under the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind.
Discussing the way forward on regional cooperation, Shabir believes that the keenness of both countries to upgrade regional stability by bringing peace to Afghanistan requires heavy collaborative-schemes. Shakeel Ahmad, Consultant SDPI underscored that SCO should be expanded as an economic development facilitator.
Mehmood UI Hassan, Member Board of Experts CGSS & Regional Geopolitical Analyst said that successful commercial diplomacy, massive industrialization, development of regional infrastructure are true fruits of Pakistan-China time-tested friendship. Zamir Awan, Deputy Director (R&D), NUST introduced the changing dynamics of regional socio-political discourse and new developments in China-Pakistan relations.
On the cultural sector, Yu Qiuyang, Research scholar, Pakistan Study Center, Communication University of China underscored that collaboration in China-Pakistan film industry has bright potential to elevate people-to-people communication and understanding.
