China and Pakistan have been maintaining close coordination on the situation in Afghanistan, including counter-terrorism cooperation and intelligence sharing. In addition, to prevent a terrorist spillover from Afghanistan, Pakistan has been taking various steps, including fencing off a 2,600 km-long border with Afghanistan and increasing the number of checkpoints along the border, Pakistani Ambassador to China, Moin ul Haque, told the Global Times in an exclusive interview.
