30 years on, China, ASEAN beef up all-round cooperation
This year marks the 30th anniversary of dialogue relations between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Since China and ASEAN established dialogue relations in 1991, the two sides have remained committed to promoting regional development and prosperity with comprehensive cooperation and bringing tangible benefits to people in the region.
Trade volumes between China and ASEAN skyrocketed from less than 8 billion U.S. dollars in 1991 to 684.6 billion U.S. dollars in 2020, increasing over 80 times, China's official data showed.
The two sides became each other's largest trading partners last year.
