China's raw coal output registered faster growth in November driven by policies increasing production and ensuring supply, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Wednesday.

The country's raw coal output increased 4.6 percent year on year to 370 million tonnes last month, and the growth was 0.6 percentage points higher than that in October, the NBS data showed.

The country imported 35.05 million tonnes of coal in November, up 198.1 percent year on year.

In the January-November period, China produced 3.67 billion tonnes of raw coal, up 4.2 percent year on year, or up 4.6 percent from the same period in 2019.

In the past 11 months, China imported about 290 million tonnes of coal, up 10.6 percent year on year.
