Beijing plans to conduct antigen testing in some key areas and sectors to detect virus carriers as early as possible, local authorities said Wednesday.

The antigen testing will cover people in areas under closed management and control as well as workers in industries such as delivery services, non-cold-chain imported goods, taxis and online ride-hailing, and catering, according to a press conference on COVID-19 control.

People suspected of having tested positive in mixed testing and those at high risk of contracting COVID-19 are also included in the campaign's target group.
