The Geometry C electric car model, manufactured by China's automaker Geely Auto Group, is the most sold electric vehicle in Israel in the first five months, according to figures issued by Israel's Ministry of Transport on Monday.

 

Sales of the Chinese compact crossover model have reached 1,604 units in Israel since the beginning of the year, surpassing Model 3 of the U.S. electric automaker Tesla, with 1,452 units sold in the same period, the figures showed.

 

Third in the list in Israel is the Ioniq 5 model of the Republic of Korea's Hyundai automaker with 1,053 cars, followed by the Seres 3 model, manufactured by China's DFSK Motor, with 414 cars.

 

The data only includes cars that have undergone a full registration procedure and have been handed to the customers. The number of orders for the Chinese model is much higher, reaching more than 8,000 from its launch in November 2021 until the end of April, according to Geely Israel.

 

In May, 485 Geometry C cars were handed to customers in Israel.
