BEIJING, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- China's foreign exchange market saw a turnover of 15.34 trillion yuan (about 2.15 trillion U.S. dollars) in October, down from 23.42 trillion yuan in September, official data showed on Friday.

 

The turnover of forex transactions between banks and their clients totaled 2.59 trillion yuan, and the turnover of interbank forex transactions totaled 12.75 trillion yuan, according to the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.

 

In terms of products, the cumulative transaction volume of the spot market was 6.01 trillion yuan, and that of the derivatives market was 9.33 trillion yuan.

 

In the first 10 months of the year, the country's forex market turnover totaled 195.61 trillion yuan, the data showed.
