More than 35 facilities (production plants, distribution and R&D centers) in 12 countries and three continents, employing more than 3,050 people reflect Sunlight's dynamism-a Greek company, targeting the Top in Lithium Energy Storage Systems and Industrial Batteries.

 

In 2022, the company completed 5 important acquisitions, as Lambros Bisalas, CEO of Sunlight Group, emphasizes in an interview with naftemporiki.gr: "Our goal is to continue our development course in 2023 with the same and greater momentum."

 

For Sunlight Group, 2022 was a very good year, with many successes. "It was a year of significant investment that helped ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain, while we successfully completed five very important acquisitions that strengthened the company's production capacity, led to its expansion into new markets and expanded its global sales, distribution and service network service,"Lambros Bisalas said.

 

With the acquisition of the German "Triathlon", Sunlight Group managed to achieve very ambitious goals, exceeding one billion in annual turnover. In addition, Sunlight recorded - for another year - organic growth. Sales growth was up over 37%, even though the markets we operate in were down 18%. In short, we managed to grow our market shares in an unfavorable environment.

 

"Our goal is to continue our development course in 2023 with the same and greater dynamics. In particular, with the lithium market experiencing rapid growth, in 2023 we are focusing on significant investments that will bring us closer to our vision of becoming the leading company for lithium energy storage systems and industrial batteries in Europe and America," Lambros Bisalas said. "In this direction, we are already implementing key investments, such as the pilot unit for the production of lithium cells in our industrial complex in Xanthi, Northern Greece, and we are launching the huge investment to create an industrial park for the production of lithium cells in Kozani. The goal of these strategic investments is the verticalization of lithium production and the significant expansion of Sunlight Group's relative production capacity."

 

In addition, Sunlight Group has signed significant agreements to develop lithium technology energy storage systems on behalf of our customers, which will result in rapid sales growth from 2024 onwards. The commercial successes confirm the bold decisions we made, investing in time in large and capable R&D teams, but also significant funds in top-tech production units worldwide.

In terms of the applications our products support, we develop and produce energy storage systems (ESS) for on- and off-grid applications, as well as for domestic use, traction batteries for industrial electrification (off-road vehicles used in the Handling industries Materials and Logistics, among others).
