KIEV, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry on Friday raised its projection for this year's grain harvest by 3.8 percent to 59.7 million tons, citing a record yield.

Ukraine has achieved an all-time high grain yield of 54.7 centners per hectare this year, the ministry said on its website.

Ukraine expects to harvest 30.1 million tons of corn, 22.2 million tons of wheat and 5.8 million tons of barley in 2023.

The ministry left the estimation for this year's oilseeds harvest unchanged at 21.6 million tons.

Earlier this week, the Ukrainian Grain Association projected that the country's grain and oil crops exports from this year's harvest have the potential to reach 50 million tons.
