BUENOS AIRES, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Javier Milei was sworn in as Argentine president on Sunday.

Milei took the oath before the parliament, as was shown by a livebroadcast of the ceremony.

An economist, Milei said that his government will do everything to avoid the catastrophe of hyperinflation.

Milei won the presidential election in November.
