French CEO foresees a bright future for China's circular economy industries
The Chinese enterprises' innovating spirit and capability of adopting new technology will make them leaders in circular economy industries, said a French CEO at the Global Unicorn Company Conference, a parallel conference of the 2024 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference on Sunday.
"Each time I come to China, I'm always amazed by the speed of adoption in China," said Emmanuel Ladent, CEO of Carbios, a French unicorn company specializing in R&D of enzymatic bioremediation processes for plastics and textile polymers, that provides solutions for the high-quality recycling of waste plastic products and textiles.
Ladent thinks China is very serious about issues related to environmental protection and waste recycling technology development. "We see that there is a momentum in China for accelerating in terms of circularity."
As a former employee at The Michelin Group, Ladent also shared his insight into the blooming Chinese new energy vehicle market, "China has been very fast in innovating and bringing new technology to the market...Through innovation, technological improvements, circularity and sustainable martial, I'm sure the Chinese automotive industry will grow in Europe and the rest of the world."
Founded in 2007, the Zhongguancun Forum has grown into a global, comprehensive, open, and high-level international event for enhancing global innovation in science and technology.
