On the afternoon of August 1, the State Grid Anyang Power Supply Company, in collaboration with the Anyang Urban and Rural Water Affairs Group, conducted an emergency drill at Anyang's Fourth Water Plant. The drill involved two 10kV medium-voltage power generators operating in parallel to ensure the plant's emergency power supply.

 

 

The drill simulated a sudden power outage at the Fourth Water Plant, resulting in the loss of the main power source and a constant risk of the backup power source failing. In this extreme scenario, the State Grid Anyang Power Supply Company dispatched two 10kV power generator vehicles to the water plant to provide temporary emergency power. The exercise included the movement of the medium-voltage generator vehicles, on-site parallel power generation, and coordinated efforts between power suppliers and users. This ensured safe and efficient power supply to the water plant, maintaining normal water supply for residents. The comprehensive process aimed to enhance both parties' emergency response capabilities.

 

 

This was the first time medium-voltage power generators were used to provide temporary emergency power to critical users in the Anyang power supply area. Following the drill, staff from both companies held a discussion and review session, addressing issues and key operations identified during the exercise. On-site training was conducted to improve future performance. The drill successfully achieved its intended objectives.
