Afghanistan exports 3,960 tons of carpets in 2024
KABUL, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan exported 3,960 tons of hand-woven carpets in 2024, spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad told local media.
Quoting Jawad, TOLOnews reported on Thursday that the exported carpets were worth more than 15.3 million U.S. dollars during the cited period.
He said the valuable Afghan products have been mostly exported to Pakistan, Australia, Iran, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Germany.
