“The Greek-Chinese cooperation is not only based on business synergies, but also on the constant strengthening of the ties between the two peoples. The success of this cooperation is reflected in tangible, mutual benefits and shared development prospects, which form a strong strategic foundation for the future,” said Han Chao, the President of the Piraeus Port Authority (PPA S.A.), during an event marking the 30th anniversary of the Hellenic-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Tourism & Shipping.
The event, titled “Bridging Civilizations and Creating the Future in Greek-Chinese Business Relations,” was held with the participation of PPA S.A.
The president underlined that COSCO SHIPPING and Piraeus Port Authority S.A. are continuing upgrading the port of Piraeus with consistency and strategic commitment, aiming to make it a truly world-class port. As he pointed out, Piraeus’ path towards the future is based on the combination of digital transformation, green investments and modernized infrastructure, which safeguard its role as a dynamic and competitive international hub.
He expressed warm wishes and congratulations to the Chamber, underlining his decisive contribution to the continuous strengthening of Greek-Chinese relations and business cooperation between the two countries.
A special moment was the awarding of personalities who contributed decisively to the long-term strengthening of Greek-Chinese relations, including former Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Greece Fang Qiu, the District Mayor of Pudong Shanghai, Wu Jincheng, and Greek shipowner George Prokopiou.
