The regional governor of Attica, Nikos Hardalias, participated in the international boat show and watersports exhibition “BOOT Düsseldorf 2026”, in Düsseldorf, Germany, within the framework of the strategic extroversion and the systematic promotion of Attica as a modern, competitive and sustainable tourist destination.

This is the largest and most important global event in the field of yachting, marine recreation, marine tourism and the innovative applications associated with it, operating every year as a key meeting point for thousands of professionals, investors, institutional organizations and friends of the sea from every corner of the planet.

During his presence at the event, the Governor of Attica toured the exhibition areas, where hundreds of boats of all categories are presented as well as innovative solutions for navigation, marine sports and the sustainable development of the sector.

Talks focused on the strong developmental footprint of marine tourism for Attica, the strategic utilization of the Region’s extensive coastline, the importance of upgrading port and tourism infrastructure, as well as enhancing the international recognition of the Attica region, highlighting it as a high-quality destination.

At the same time, the role of the Athenian Riviera, the port of Piraeus, the modern marinas and the islands of the Saronic Gulf was highlighted as crucial development gateways for yachting and marine tourism.
