Enterprise Greece organized the largest national participation to date, featuring 15 Greek companies actively engaged in the maritime sector, at the 19th Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) 2026, held on March 25-27, 2026 at Marina Bay Sands.
APM is one of the most significant international exhibitions in Asia for shipbuilding and industrial marine equipment. This year's event, with 18 national pavilions, more than 710 exhibitors and over 20,000 brands, provided participants with substantial opportunities for business networking, knowledge exchange and the exploration of new partnerships across shipbuilding and maritime technology, workboats, offshore applications and port infrastructure.
The conference sessions and parallel events of APM 2026 focused on the sector's key challenges and prospects, with particular emphasis on sustainability, innovation and digitalization in shipping. Special emphasis was placed on the transition towards green technologies and the adoption of circular economy practices, aiming at a drastic reduction of carbon emissions and the full decarbonization of the maritime sector by 2050. At the same time, new technological solutions and products were showcased, addressing the growing demand for sustainable and energy-efficient applications across the industry.
The Greek companies participating in the national pavilion organized by Enterprise Greece had the opportunity to explore the prospects offered by the Southeast Asian market, develop new commercial partnerships and engage with key stakeholders and businesses from countries including Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, Singapore, South Korea, China and Indonesia.
HEMEXPO (Hellenic Marine Equipment Manufacturers and Exports) and its member companies showcased innovative products and services, highlighting the dynamism and technical expertise of the Greek marine equipment industry. Within the framework of the exhibition, the Embassy of Greece in Singapore, in cooperation with Enterprise Greece and HEMEXPO, hosted a business networking event aimed at strengthening professional connections for Greek companies and further expanding cooperation with stakeholders from the local and international maritime market.
Referring to the Greek participation, the CEO of Enterprise Greece, Marinos Giannopoulos, stated: "The expanded national presence at Asia Pacific Maritime constitutes a cornerstone of our strategy to enhance the export footprint of the Greek maritime industry. Fully aligned with the National Strategic Plan for Extroversion, Enterprise Greece works closely with the private sector and institutional stakeholders of the industry, strengthening the international competitiveness of domestic enterprises. This year's dynamic participation highlighted the technological excellence and high level of expertise of Greek marine equipment companies. Our ongoing commitment remains to provide meaningful support to the sector, foster strategic synergies and position Greece as an international hub of innovation and high value-added services for global shipping."
