KASHGAR, Aug. 7 (China Economic Net) - A 2-ton shipment of Pakistani mangoes, the first to reach Xinjiang, China this year, has cleared customs and entered markets in Kashgar and Korla recently, adding fresh imported fruit supplies to the region.

The mangoes entered Xinjiang through a land port between China and Pakistan and were inspected and released by customs authorities before reaching local markets. To ensure the quality of fresh fruit during transportation, customs authorities introduced a dedicated clearance process, including advance coordination with enterprises, preparation guidance for declaration documents and communication with Pakistani customs on transport updates.

The shipment comes as Pakistan seeks to expand overseas markets for its mango exports. On May 12, 2026, Pakistani agricultural authorities and industry representatives held discussions on the mango export season and measures to promote overseas sales, focusing on improving export channels and reaching more international markets.

In July 2026, the Pakistan-China Silk Road Mango Festival 2026 was held in Beijing, where Chinese and Pakistani enterprises carried out exchanges on mango trade and logistics and signed cooperation documents aimed at expanding market opportunities for Pakistani mango products in China.
