NEW DELHI, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping said Saturday that China will assume the BRICS presidency next year and will host the 19th BRICS Summit.

Xi made the remarks at the 18th BRICS Summit held in New Delhi, India.
