BEIJING, Sept. 23 (China Economic Net) - The 33rd China Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Fair (CAF) and the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Agricultural Expo will be held from October 25 to 29 in the Yangling Demonstration Zone, Shaanxi Province, northwest China, according to a press conference held today in Beijing.

So far, more than 2,000 companies from over 50 countries and regions have signed up to take part, it is learned at the conference.

The fair will feature four complementary platforms — indoor exhibitions, field demonstrations, online showcases, and overseas events — across a total exhibition area of 140,000 square meters. Nine themed zones will cover cutting-edge agricultural research, international exchange, practical farming technology, agricultural equipment, and Shaanxi's distinctive modern agriculture.

The CAF's overseas tour has already made stops in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Australia. This October, it will continue with exhibitions in Kyrgyzstan and Kenya, pacing up the cross-border flow of agricultural technology, equipment, and products.

Two authoritative reports, one on China's dryland agricultural technology and the other on China's agricultural industry investment, will be released during the event, offering valuable insights for industry players worldwide.

First held in 1994, the Yangling CAF has earned a reputation as the "Olympics" of the agricultural world. Over the years, it has drawn more than 30,000 agricultural enterprises and research institutions from all 34 provincial-level regions of China and over 80 countries, along with over 35 million visitors and business representatives, showcasing more than 200,000 projects and products.

This year marks the first time the SCO Agricultural Expo will have its own dedicated pavilion, expanding indoor exhibition space to 15,000 square meters. Ten field exhibition zones highlighting full industry chains will be upgraded, and an apple industry field exhibition will be held in Kyrgyzstan.
