According to The Indian Express, as of September this year, the Election Commission of India's Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, which began in June last year, has led to over 130 million names being deleted from draft rolls across 30 States/Union Territories—a 14.1% reduction from pre-SIR rolls.
