Thanks to a brace from star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the reigning Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain lifted their first trophy of the new season here on Saturday at an away Trophy of Champions in China.

The French top-flight title-holders breezed into a 2-0 win over Cup winners Guingamp in the world most populous country's capital city, with both goals from the tall Swede in the opening 20 mintues.

Ibrahimovic opened the scoring just nine minutes into the game with a strike in front of the area, which took the rivals' goalkeeper Mamadou Samassa by surprise.

Eleven minutes later, he doubled the advantage from the penalty spot after Jean-Christophe Bahebeck was brought down by Lars Jacobsen.

Guingamp's best opportunity came in the 31st minute when Brazilian defender Marquinhos brought down Claudio Beauvue and awarded the Cup winners a penalty, but Mustapha Yatabare's spot-kick was stopped by Italian goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.

It was the sixth time that the French Football Federation brought the Trophy of Champions Final abroad.

PSG begin their Ligue 1 campaign in a quest for a third straight league championship on Aug. 8 at Reims in their opening fixture of the season, while Guingamp host Saint-Etienne on Saturday.
