Ukraine's debt rose 9.1 percent year-on-year to 64.607 billion U.S. dollars, the Finance Ministry announced Friday.

Of the total debt, about 38.647 billion dollars is owed to foreign creditors and some 25.96 billion to domestic creditors, the ministry's press service said.

Ukraine has to repay 5.4 billion dollars of its foreign debt in 2013.

Kiev hopes to agree on a new 15-billion-dollars credit line with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), when a staff mission of the global lender visits Ukraine next week.
