Russia on Wednesday accused Ukraine of imposing information taboo on events in the country's eastern regions.

Instead of helping investigate the Malaysian plane crash in Donetsk region, Ukrainian authorities groundlessly blamed Moscow for the death of nearly 300 people on board flight MH17, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said in a statement.

He said Kiev has concealed truth about armed suppression of the "initially peaceful" protests in the eastern regions, adding it was "immoral and inhumane."

Moreover, Ukraine's special services worked with the staff of the country's air traffic control without informing international organizations, Lukashevich said.

"This contradicts unbiased and objective investigation," Interfax news agency quoted him as saying.

He added that the immediate ceasefire was needed to save civilians' lives and to guarantee thorough investigation into the tragedy of the Malaysian aircraft in Ukraine.

According to Ukraine's government investigation commission, flight recorders of the crashed flight MH17 arrived in Britain for analysis on Wednesday.

The black boxes were sent to Farnborough where experts would read data stored in the recorders and try to find out the exact cause of the tragedy.
