A fire engulfed a two-story restaurant in Chaoyang district of Beijing Sunday night, and no one was hurt, said local firemen.
The fire was reported to local fire control authorities at 9:45 p.m. The raging fire then spread to several adjacent restaurants in Jintaixi road.
Seventeen fire engines were dispatched to the site. The fire was brought under control by 11 p.m., firemen said.
Nearby residents said that the restaurant had been under renovation. The cause of the incident is under investigation. |
