Chinese leaders join lawmakers, political advisors in panel discussions

China's top legislator Wu Bangguo and other senior leaders on Thursday continued to join lawmakers and political advisors in panel discussions at the ongoing annual parliamentary session.

When discussing with deputies to the National People's Congress (NPC) from the northwestern province of Qinghai, Wu, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, stressed the importance of improving people's well-being and taking care of people's lives.

Wu expected Qinghai to grasp the opportunity and make innovation in seeking new development pattern and use the province's abundant resources to develop a circular economy and promote environmentally friendly development.

Other leaders attending panel discussions include Wen Jiabao, Jia Qinglin, Li Changchun, Xi Jinping and Zhou Yongkang.
