Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo met with former King of Cambodia Norodom Sihanouk and his wife, Norodom Monineath, on behalf of Chinese President Hu Jintao here on Tuesday morning.

The two sides conducted friendly talks, and Dai conveyed to them the greetings of President Hu and his wife.

President Hu is to pay a state visit to Cambodia from March 30 to April 2.

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi accompanied Dai for the visit.

Norodom Sihanouk arrived in Beijing for a routine medical check-up in January.
