A Tunisian delegation led by the foreign minister will visit the Gaza Strip on Saturday, Mosaique FM reported Friday.

In a phone call with the de facto Hamas government Prime Minister Ismail Haneya, Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki expressed his country's support to the Palestinian people, denouncing the Israeli air raids on the enclave, according to the report.

Tunisia is also ready to send humanitarian aid to Gaza, Marzouki said.

Israel announced Wednesday afternoon a large-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip and launched a series of air raids, including one that killed Hamas armed wing chief Ahmed al-Jabaari.
