At least four people were killed and another 12 injured on Sunday morning in clashes between the police forces and the relatives of a murdered citizen outside a police station in Qalyobiah governorate, west to Cairo.

The relatives of the citizen, who was shot by mistake by a police officer in an operation, gathered in front of Shubara El Khimah police station to protest against the shooting and pledged to retaliate for the victim.

The clashes left four people, including two officers and one conscript killed, local Ahram online quoted Zakariah Abdel Rabouh, the undersecretary of health ministry in Qalyobiah as saying.

The police forces then intensifies their security measures and surrounded the police station with armored vehicles to handle any further attacks, the report added.
