Mexican authorities Thursday reported findings of 11 bodies in the country's north where drug-related violence is still raging on.
Of the dead, seven were found in a parked pickup truck in the town of Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango State Attorney General's Office said.
Three other bodies were found on a roadside in the same town while the last one were discovered in another town called Gomez Palacio, it said.
The bodies carried marks of torture, and some were shot in the head while others were decapitated, likely resulting from clashes between rival drug gangs.
More than 47,000 people have been killed in drug-related violence in Mexico since 2006 according to some estimate. |
