Kyrgyzstan maintains firm support for Kazakhstan's initiative of Eurasian integration, Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov said Wednesday.

"We fully support all initiatives of Nursultan Nazarbayev aimed at Eurasian integration and creation of a Common Economic Space," Babanov said after a meeting with Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Babanov said that the support also refers to security in Central Asia.

"I am sure Kyrgyzstan will join the Customs Union in the future," he said.

According to the statement released by the Kazakh president's press office, Nursultan Nazarbayev sait Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan were very close countries with similar languages and cultures and that Kazakhstan was ready to render any assistance as required to Kyrgyzstan.

Omurbek Babanov paid an official vist to discuss issues relating to the cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
