S. Korea, Dominican Republic mark 50 years of diplomatic ties |

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and Dominican Republic president Leonel Fernandez Reyna exchanged messages Tuesday in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
In the message, Lee noted expanding bilateral political, economic and cultural ties and voiced hope for further cooperation, his office Cheong Wa Dae said in a statement.
Fernandez expressed appreciation for South Korea's efforts to share its experience of economic development with developing countries like the Dominican Republic, which he said provides motivation for the country's national development.
Fernandez paid his first official visit here in 2006. |
