Majority of Thais want cabinet reshuffle: poll

A majority of people in provinces inundated by the great flood last year say it is now time for a cabinet change, according to results of Abac Poll released on Sunday.

The majority, or 56.4 percent, of the respondents said it was now time for a cabinet reshuffle, 25.4 percent said it was still too soon for that, while 18.2 percent said it was already too late.

Asked which ministers should be the first to quit, 29.2 percent picked up the minister of commerce, followed by minister of education with 25.4 percent, interior minister with 23.3 percent, minister of agriculture and cooperatives with 23.1 percent minister of transport 17.6 percent.

The poll was conducted in early June among 2,074 people in the capital city of Bangkok and other 16 provinces in central, northern and southern regions.
