An explosive device planted in a rickshaw exploded in Kandahar city, the capital of the southern Afghan province of Kandahar on Monday, killing five people and wounding six others, spokesman for provincial administration Jawed Faisal said.
"The explosive device was planted in a rickshaw with three suicide bombers aboard and it exploded in the 4th precinct of Kandahar city at 2:30 p.m. local time killing the three terrorists on board and two civilian passerby," Faisal told Xinhua.
Six more civilians were injured in the blast, he added.
He blamed Taliban militants for the incident. |
