Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will travel to Kuwait next week to attend the Asia Cooperation Dialogue forum, Bangkok Post online reported on Thursday.
Sansanee Nakpong, the government spokeswoman, said the regular Tuesday cabinet meeting will be brought forward to Monday to accommodate the trip.
The Kuwait meeting aims to strengthen economic and cultural ties in the region. Yingluck will be looking to build foreign investors' confidence in Thailand, Sansanee said.
Yingluck will be accompanied by representatives from Thai industries such as jewellery and medical services.
On Oct. 27, the prime minister will visit Vietnam for talks on issues including regional security, cultural, educational and economic cooperation. The joint development of Dawei deep-sea port in Myanmar will also be on the agenda. |
